Linnea received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2015 and has since then been treating patients of all ages and stages of life. Her experience is heavy in orthopedics, neuro rehab and pediatrics. With a passion for hands on manual therapy, she has furthered her skills and knowledge with certifications in Functional Dry Needling, Myofascial Release Technique and Spine Rehab. The combination of dry needling and myofascial release to pathological tissues has been a very successful in Linnea’s practice and has made for some very happy and relieved athletes, patients with chronic pain and many others.
After completing a 12-week full time clinical rotation at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Linnea’s passion for working with children grew exponentially and she has since then continued to help children in the area with various musculoskeletal disorders.
Health, wellness and fitness are all important pieces to a puzzle and finding and solidifying these pieces in other’s lives is one of the many things Linnea loves about her career. She has completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons and a 50K and respects how important regular maintenance of our entire musculoskeletal system is, and has a great appreciation for the training involved in maintaining healthy and functional mobility in order to participate in whatever it is that tugs at our heart strings. A good balance between flexibility, stability, balance, and knowledge of how our bodies move is key to being successful with any sport or physical activity. Linnea has assisted on the side lines of many races, including several triathlons and enjoys being in the racing environment helping other achieve their personal bests. Linnea has also worked in performance running analysis and has taken several continuing education courses regarding analysis and modification of running gait.
Creating a relationship with the patient that includes mutual respect is key to successful care as well as collaborating to create a plan to implement and maintain over a lifetime. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this job for Linnea is getting to know each and every patient, helping them achieve their personal goals and implementing a lifelong passion for health and wellness.
In her spare time, Linnea enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, hiking, working out, traveling and being outdoors. Linnea has participated in Women’s Ministry at her church and given several talks at retreats and services, as witnessing to others is another one of her passions.
